Crowd in farm field being addressed by some of the honchos (bosses). The crowd spreading out over the field. Great crowd in front of a truck which is equipped with PA system. A high school band plays. The demonstrators carry signs, one reads: "The Armistice Has Lost Its Effectiveness, etc.". Lines are thrown from two trucks to concertina wire which blocks the roadway. The trucks back up in an unsucessful attempt to pull the wire away. American soldiers stand behind a wall of 55 gallon drums in front of the concertina wire. Demonstrators are on the other side. Gen. Lemnitzer and Gen. I.D. White with the Base Commander, Major Bickell. Lemnitzer is talking.

Lyman Louis Lemnitzer (August 29, 1899 – November 12, 1988) was born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. He received his commission in the Coast Artillery Corps from West Point in 1920 and was an instructor at West Point from 1926 to 1930, and again in 1934 and 1935. He graduated from the Command and General Staff School in 1936 and the Army War College in 1940 and saw duty with war plans division and the staff of Army Ground Forces from May 1941 to June 1942.
